"Make services that do the dumb work, so you can do what requires intelligence."

We have found that the students with top grades are great time managers. Our problem with this was that it is a pain/waste of time to fanatically manage time. It gets more difficult to plan ones time especially when the homework stacks up and stuff starts falling through the cracks.

We came up with the idea for Gradefix after experimenting with the idea of budgeting time. We discovered the main reason students don't do as well is that there will be some weeks with hardly any homework and then other weeks where there is more homework than time to do it. Spreading the homework out is the solution. If that doesn't fix the problem you just up the amount of homework you do and viola almost any student can attain top grades. Gradefix is nice because it does this for you.

"Be honest, straight forward, price fairly, and give away whenever possible."

There are too many businesses out there that think by being sneaky they are going to fool you, we think that is ridiculous. We want to provide top notch services and offer those services at the lowest price that we can, striving to make them available for the majority (or everyone) and not just the privileged minority.

We are always brewing up new ways to make Gradefix better and with time you will start to see them. Be patient we are working with thin budget and we are keeping our price low. It might take a bit of time, but don't worry we are on it.

"Simplify to make your site clean, useful, and easy to use."

There are plenty of complex and ugly sites out there, we could easily make our whole soapbox about this itself. We have redone Gradefix over and over before we revealed to the world, see our blog on this. Don't worry we are perfectionists we are always looking for ways to make it cleaner, more useful, and easier to use. It is easy to make something complicated, it is hard to make it simple.

"Whenever possible have a sense of humor"

We know you are probably stressed out, so are we. Remember to take time to relax enjoy life and laugh. If you get through this life and don't find time to laugh and have a good time you have missed out. Step back and realize that one day it will all be better, or over.

"Design for functionality and beauty"

There is nothing worse than a great idea that was designed poorly. The most important thing is to design for functionality, but functionality is enhanced many times over by beautiful design. Beautiful design is often the product of tons of trial and error, but most importantly getting lots of feedback and searching for the greater good for the users.
